Kate Spade New York Fall 2013 Ready-To-Wear Collection: My Favourites
I don’t even know why I titled this “My Favourites” when pretty much everything in this collection was simply perfect and I want every damn item!
Kate Spade have once again captured the essence of New York and added huge doses of cute-chic-quirkyness! I love the mixture of different colours and patterns. And the use of the iconic yellow taxis as an actual dress print and matching clutch bag? - Genius.
It was clear that majority of the collection had an 80s vibe to it, which explains why I was constantly thinking about The Carrie Diaries when going through these outfits, I bet Eric Daman was crying tears of joy during the presentation party….
And who said you couldn’t wear fuschia pink in fall?…. Well, I don’t know but it sure wasn’t the gals at Kate Spade! A collection fit for a preppy princess, Kate Spade is totally my valentine this year.

Majority of the ombre looks I’ve seen recently have been stuck in the grungy style for too long! That’s why I am in love with this sleek take on the hair trend. The red beanie perfectly compliments this gals brunette hair colour and I love the funky aviators.

#NYFW - Diane Von Furstenberg SS 13
Such a contrast to Jason Wu’s SS 13 collection, Diane certainly brightened up my gloomy day in London today. Dabbling into some pastel colours, colour blocking and a bit of silver and gold here and there, DVF’s collection was chic, modern and fun! I absolutely loved the shapes and silhouettes, so care free and light! - I really can’t wait to see the high streets interpretation of DVF’s designs!
Aren’t the jumpsuits gorgeous? tweet me at TDRheartsNY! would love to know what you think!

#NYFW - Jason Wu SS 13
I love how Wu’s designs were less focused on the floral, colourful cliche most designers tend to go for when designing for Spring/Summer - Don’t get me wrong, I love it! & Its Spring/Summer.. like what else are you supposed to wear? But Jason’s vision for next season had more of a darker vibe to me, which I liked! I also loved the fact that he’s released a bit of his heritage again, in this collection, with the structured, (almost oriental) floral red dresses.
Overall, the details within this collection are simply exquisite, Jason is such a talented designer.
What did you think of his collection? Would you prefer more colour?
