I am in LOVE with every single one of these beautiful dresses, from ASOS’s newest brand; Needle & Thread.

Based in both London and Delhi, Needle & Thread is a new label that expresses itself through beautiful hand-embellished designs. Under the creative direction of Hannah Coffin,Needle & Thread present a fun and eclectic S/S’13 collection that lists Aztec patterns and Mexican art as inspiration. Created with a beach to bar feel, these standout pieces are embellished by hand in India and are destined to take pride of place in your wardrobe.”

I’m a massive fan of designers such as Elie Saab and Jenny Packham whom thrive on embellishments and sparkle in most of their collections, so it’s no surprise that I am madly in love with these gorgeous designs from Needle & Thread. Whilst some dresses have a few Art Deco/Gatsby elements to it, I definitely agree with the statement above on the collection having a “beach bar feel” to it. I could so imagine Serena Van Der Woodsen in one of these items in Santourini! Haha! ;-)

I also love how the dresses are embellished by hand in India (my homeland! LOL). And don’t get me wrong, I love the Mexican inspiration and the aztec prints - very on trend! But I’m hoping the next collections will have more of a Asian influence

With that being said, I can’t wait to see more of Needle & Thread!

Add some NEON to your wardrobe this SS13!

It’s obvious Neon is going to be huge for SS13 (as it’s kinda, always been for Summer), and I’ve been seeing amazing outfits all over Tumblr and Instagram featuring some vibrant Neon colours! At first I found it a bit challenging to incorporate such bright colours into any kind of outfit, but after much observation, I’ve come up with a few tips to help any confused person out there..

Level 1 - If you’d like to dip your toe into the trend without completely diving in, wearing bright statement shoes totally does the trick! The rest of your outfit should be in neutral, plain colours so all the focus can go on the shoes. Orange heels are from TOPSHOP, £58

Level 2 - Shoes not enough? Try matching your accessories! For example this pink clutch bag, with matching (or even clashing) nails, matching shoes and a matching lipstick. I’ve seen this work really well on Monochrome ensembles. Pink clutch bag is from Boohoo.com, £15

Level 3 - If you’d like to go full speed ahead with the Neon trend, try it out with some shirts/blouses and trousers! Buy items for statement pieces or go wild with the colours, the more clashing the better! I really love how Fluro green goes great with electric blue trousers. Lime green shirt from River Island, £25
