‘Back 2 School’ checklist
- a bag, Mary Poppins style!
If you watched ‘Mary Poppins’ when you were little, you’re childhood was pretty sweet. Remember how when she arrived to the Banks residence with this carpet bag, and she pulled out a huge plant, a mirror and even a lamp? the bag was pretty much bottomless! and she pretty much had her whole life in there, right down to her pair of lilac pumps.
When looking for a bag (generally, as well as for school/college), I always strive to find something practical, i.e to fit ‘my whole life’ in there and to look cute!. As much as I wish to buy the first pretty tote I see, my mother has taught me that when shopping for items I’m going to be using a lot, the quality of it trumps everything else! This means, investing in a well made, leather bag! Please don’t fret readers, I know some leather bags can be quite expensive, but high street favourites such as TOPSHOP and River Island offer very well made bags for reasonable prices, such as this tan tote bag from River Island for £70, or this leather and faux pony skin bag from TOPSHOP which doubles as a messenger bag for £60 (pretty awesome deal actually). However, I did spot this faux leather backpack from TOPSHOP for £36, the metal clips make this look really secure, and it gives off a simple edginess to it.
However, in the past I have purchased non-leather bags from Boohoo.com and ALDO, that have lasted me for just under 7 months, which is actually pretty good considering the way I treated some of them (I’m not the most careful person, but I do try, LOL)

‘Back 2 School’ Checklist
- a Blouse
In September, next month, I’ll be starting college! and I am super excited, but it only just dawned on me that I have to be wearing, actual clothes.. 5 days a week O.O and I thought picking an outfit for the weekend was hard! So instead of giving in to the trends, why not try and invest in some staple items, that you can wear and reinvent and restyle over and over again for the upcoming school days? My ‘Back 2 School’ checklist is going to help you achieve that, so keep reading dolls! ;)
I love blouses. that is all. LOL, no but really, I love blouses because of the ease it comes with! When wearing a blouse, I try to keep most of the attention on it, which means everything else I would wear would be very simple and plain, i.e thick black leggings, neutral coloured flats, simple accessories. A blouse is an excellent transitional piece! So, for a girls night out for drinks, swapping the flats for heels is a timeless combo, investing £20-£40 is justifiable. Tucked into a skirt or worn under a smart blazer, you can’t go wrong with a blouse!.
