KONY 2012: LONDON

WHEN: Friday, April 20th 2012  WHERE: Trafalgar Square, London, WC2N                      TIME: 10PM-MIDNIGHT

An all night event to MAKE KONY FAMOUS to the people of London! 

Meet at the Trafalgar Square fountain at 10pm on the 20th April, You will get handed out enough posters to keep yo u busy all night and assigned to be with a group of people in a certain area of London.

Please try to bring your own posters - Print out a dozen posters, bring whatever you need! Paper, pens, paint! NO spray cans ! & don’t paint anything other than card/paper! This is not an excuse to riot/rebel, this is a peaceful protest. 

I know a few people who are saying that there’s like two more events just like this, but it doesn’t matter, just as long as we are all spreading the message on Friday night for the whole of London to see the next day, its all good.

STOP KONY ! Now, I could’ve started off my day looking over all the highlights at the Louis Vuitton show this morning or even read a few articles of Kanye West’s after party from last night, but something caught my attention on twitter; #stopkony I Youtube’d it and it bought me to this video HERE. KONY 2012 is a very short film directed by Jason Russell and produced by the Invisible Children, who are spreading the awareness of Joseph Kony. Joseph Kony is a Ugandan Guerilla Group Leader, head of the LRA, and this army is filled with over 30,000 children that were kidnapped, raped and tortured under his command.. and this has been happening for over 30 years.  This is the year to make a difference everyone, our goal is to MAKE KONY FAMOUS!   Not to celebrate him, but to raise the support in arresting him and bought to the International Criminal Court to face trial.
