#OOTD - Blacks & Greys
the “jasmine tailored coat w/ PU collar - c/o Boohoo.com // grey boyfriend tee - Primark // high waisted leggings - ZARA // black studded slippers - Primark // bag - belongs to mother, from Spain // beanie hat - Primark
Casual and comfortable outfit for a day out with my hot mama and my little sister; filled with Starbucks, sushi and shopping! the three S’s every girl needs, haha ;-)
And some of you may have noticed that I’m wearing the biker jacket I’ve been coveting! Which Boohoo.com kindly gave to me, thank you so much guys; I’m literally in love with it. The jacket is lightweight and keeps me reasonably warm without sweating a lot, which is a big pet peeve for me. It’s also so well made! Definitely worth the £45!
I teamed the jacket with some neutral, staple pieces and my beloved beanie to compliment my anti-socialness, LOOL….. kidding.

P.S: Massive congratulations Boohoo.com for winning “Best Online Retailer” at Lorraine’s High Street Fashion Awards for the 2nd time in a row!! You guys deserve it!

#PROM2013 | A Gatsby Inspired Prom Outfit..

As I said in my previous post, the first installation of my Prom series shall be inspired an ultra-glamorous movie filled with Hollywood stars….. The Great Gatsby!

I couldn’t think of a better film to draw inspiration from. For me Gatsby is a must-see for 2 reasons; it’s one of my favourite books and Miuccia Prada made the costumes worn by Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan), each one more lavish than the next! and I’m talking crystal beaded gowns, exotic feathers and Tiffany’s pearl and diamond jewels sprinkled on top! Decadent, glamorous and wonderfully elegant, Gatsby is the best source of wardrobe inspiration for Prom.. and it kinda makes me wish I had one to go to this year! :-/ LOL

DRESS - “Flapper” dresses which were the main garment of choice in the 20s, are  straight, loose and drops the waistline to the hips, one thing I love about Flapper dresses is the way they move whilst dancing which I guess is the point. The flapper dresses are particularly more flattering on a “boyish” figure so if you’re planning to show your curves at Prom, this look isn’t for you I’m afraid!

ACCESSORIES - Accessories consist a lot of Art Deco pieces including many layers of pearls and other beaded necklaces, the perfect excuse to do a little thrifting!

HAIR & MAKE-UP - I really liked this hair tutorial for a modern, 20s look that can easily be used for any special occasion. This make-up tutorial really is true to the 1920s era, however if this is going a little too far I found a tutorial for a much more softer look here.

Thank you for reading my first post of “#PROM2013” and I really hoped this helped a few of you! Stay tuned for more Prom posts coming soon.

#COVETING | This bad ass coat!

Jazmin Tailored Coat w/ PU Collar - Boohoo.com, £45

I saw this beauty up close last week at Boohoo.com’s AW13 press event and I knew in that instant, that the coat was perfect! I hoped and prayed that this baby would be released sooner rather than the colder months of September and onwards…. and it looks like my prayers have been answered! Cheers Jesus ;-)

The coat is quite simple but still able to convey this “bad ass” image, thanks to the zip detailing and PU collar, which I am luh-ving. Majority of the black jackets/coats I own are short, so this item would be a lovely addition to my outerwear collection!

Boohoo.com’s AW13 Press Day

After participating in a dreadful English mock exam, I was delighted that I had to rush over to west end for Boohoo.com’s AW13 Press Day straight after lesson!

I’m a huge fan of Boohoo.com! and they never fail to deliver on-trend and affordable items season after season.

The Autumn/Winter range defintely had a grunge feel to it with a lot of English influences, and there was something there for every kind of girl! From structured, monochrome dresses to plaid and distressed denim!. I have my eyes on those gorgeous black riding boots with the gold details though, equestrian perfection!

I also got the chance to try out the Minx Nails manicure courtesy of the Lyttle Minx ladies who were giving manicures throughout the whole day, and of course I opted for the gold one! I absolutely loved it and it looked amazing throughout the day, I had people staring at my nails! LOL

I got the chance to get up close with the SS13 Boutique peices and I am loving them! Especially combining the traditional trophy jacket with the modern, aztec pattern!.

Check out Boohoo.com now to see their gorgeous, SS13 pieces!
