Mint Madness!
Such a fresh and elegant approach to summer, I think Mint is such a gorgeous and underrated colour!.. Until now! We’ve seen shades of mint and other delicious sorbet colours on the runways of Louis Vuitton’s S/S shows and now in the high street! Whether you want to go all chic or bring some class to the streets, Mint is such a lovely colour for this summer.
Pleats are making a huge comeback and are perfect for nailing any elegant and simple ensemble, and Boohoo.com have provided us just that, all for just £15, team the dress with some nude courts and pearl accessories and you’re good to go!. For those who love a statement necklace or haven’t got time to do a DIY job, Topshop have answered your prayers and are selling this gorgeous, studded mint collar necklace! It would look perfect with a clashing orange sorbet blouse! I love T-bar shoes, this pair from Asos would look perfect with a nude dress. Fast drying with a glossy wet look, Topshop brings us ‘Gone Fishing’ for just £5.

Hey Hey Everyone,
Well, most of my exams are completed and I just have 7 left to do! - The week ahead is solely for revision, so I won’t be posting as much. But promise me, soon as my exams are over, I’ll be back everyday FOREVER!.. Well, at least till College work kicks off (September-ish)
Also, isn’t this sunshine such a blessing all my Londoners ? Make the most of it and catch some rays ;)
Love you loads

Boohoo.com’s S/S 12 Preview Party

After a very long, depressing week of exam preparation and revision classes, I got to end it on a great note, as I was invited to Boohoo.com’s S/S 12 Bloggers Party! :) I was greeted by a few Boohoo.com girls as well as a bartender equipped with watermelon martini’s ;) which I graciously turned down and requested for a water, LOL, Damn!

But, back to the clothes.. Boohoo.com has done it again! Nailing every trend possible, from Louis Vuitton’s pretty pastels to Versace’s scarf printed jackets! Boohoo.com is your ticket to the latest trends for every season! My favourite items from their S/S range would have to be their cut-out tie die dress and the black and white aztec midi dress! But, if I had it my way I would’ve left with all the rails of clothes to be honest! Also, this was the first time Boohoo.com had showcased any mens clothing, and I am quite impressed! You could see that the company actually pays attention to street trends such as the aztec block prints garments and the ombre shirts.

This would have to be the best Boohoo event ever! I loved the relaxed atmosphere that was there that night, I think the pizza and candy helped achieve that! And the chic, urban girl band Stooshe came, head to toe in Boohoo.com threads to perform their latest single ‘Black Heart’

& whist I was at the event, I got the honour of meeting one of favourite fashion bloggers, Sarah Sandiford from ‘City Girl’s Fashion Box’. When I saw her I literally screamed and it was just so not cool, LOL - She probably thinks I’m a total freak! LMAO, but yeah, she’s really sweet though and I’m really happy I got to meet her!

Lastly, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Boohoo.com who made the event possible, I had such an awesome time!

After much discussions with my girls about Prom and our dresses, one discussion was about what the guys were going to wear. Now in girl world, wearing the same dress, especially to Prom, is a one-way ticket to the hospital.. I’m being serious. But for the guys, it seems like that’s their only choice, well they’re wrong! There are so many things guys can do to change the ‘general suit’ to something much more fashionable and original!
The Tie - The tie doesn’t have to be black, or any other boring colour for that matter, liven things up and try a patterned tie! This funky leopard print tie is from TOPMAN for just £10
The Shoes - Converses with suits always look amazing, especially when the trousers are rolled up, it just looks so rebellious and edgy! But for those who have a strict dress code, try bright clashing socks, however this can only work if the trousers are slightly ankle grazing, so everyone can actually see them
The Suit - Black suits will always look good no matter what, but when shopping for a suit, don’t be afraid to experiment with colour! Chuck Bass from Gossip Girl is notorious a bright coloured suit, and he pulls it off really well, so researching into celebrities will be key in finding a different coloured suit. I recommend googling Chuck Bass and Mark Ronson
I hope this has helped guys, and don’t be afraid to ask any other questions on Prom or anything else :)

Met Ball 2012 - The Looks I Loved
After yesterday’s twitter frenzy, there was just no avoiding the gorgeous dresses and the celebrities in them attending the Met Ball last night! Being named “The Oscars of the upper east side”, and me being totally in love with everything to do with the Big Apple, I just had to drop in my verdict of last nights attire ;)
Emma Stone in Lanvin - Emma looked absolutely adorable and very age/length appropriate in this ballerina-esque dress custom made by Alber Elbaz himself. I think the black gloss leather pumps really finished the look!
Jessica Alba in Michael Kors - Not too crazy about the make-up, but nonetheless, Jessica was defo going for the gold in everyone’s fashion verdict by wearing this gorgeous Michael Kors gown
Diane Kruger in Prada - Prada totally rocked the Met Ball last night! and Diane  looked absolutely stunning! Its so refreshing to see such a gorgeous, royal shade of purple, and it really compliments her blonde hair
Chanel Iman in Tom Ford - Chanel looked flawless as usual, attending the Met Ball in Tom Ford, and attended with the designer himself! I love the intense eye make up and the nude lips.
What were your favourite looks at the Met Ball 2012?

TRACK OF THE WEEK: AMEN (PROD. KEY WANE) - MEEK MILL F/ DRAKE & JEREMIH
Fresh from his newest mixtape Dreamchasers 2, the highly anticipated second installment to the “Dreamchasers” series from MMG’s Meek Mill. Now I admit, at first I was highly skeptical of Meek Mill, I only had like two of his songs on my iTunes and me and my friends would argue in lessons over who’s better between Meek and Drake (Drizzy won, naturally), but after hearing this song as well as a few others I can finally say now, that I am a Meek Mill fan! LOL
I love the beat and Meek’s flow, its raw, ruthless and rough! Which, I guess is a nice change from my normal kind of music i.e Drake, The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, etc.
If you like this song, I highly recommend you listen to the whole mixtape HERE. I know you’re going to love it! - Tweet me what you think of Dreamchasers 2 at @TDRheartsNY

We’ve seen it on the heads of countless celebrities such as Lauren Conrad and Nicki Minaj, but now the Ombre trend is transcending to our clothes! I think wearing an Ombre item just screams summer time fun, especially the sorbet-like colours on this vest from H&M, which can be styled with smart trousers and a blazer for somewhere formal. In the summer I always wear statement tops/vests, this year I want to change it up a bit, which can totally be done now with these ombre, ripped shorts from H&M! I love the mixture of brown and pink in this. Dip Hem, Cheetah print AND Ombre ? I’d say this skirt is perfect for a summer party! This is the perfect item for a House of Holland SS12 look! This skirt is from River Island. And for those daring fashionista’s out there, this Blazer from ASOS.com is sure to be the centre of attention in the office or at an event you attend, this blazer also has matching trousers, so check online!
What do you think of the Ombre trend ? Are you gonna attempt it this summer ?

I have Lauren’s first book ‘Style’ and it was such a wise purchase, as I’m starting college pretty soon, and ‘Style’ is a great reference book when it comes to essential things I need in my wardrobe, and I have no doubt that ‘Beauty’ will be just as useful, from manicure inspirations to the perfect winged eye-liner, this book is definitely on my pre-order list!
‘Beauty’ is to arrive in stores, October 16th but you can pre-order it HERE on Amazon.

The Thinspiration Problem: My Response

I love IFB and all the articles and tips it has provided for me, I check it daily for any new content, its actually pretty addictive now that I think of it. Anyways, whilst being on IFB, I noticed their new article named ‘The Thinspiration Problem: Where Do Fashion Bloggers Factor In?’ (click here to read it), and after reading it I thought I should share with my readers/followers my opinion on this whole ‘Size 0/Thinspiration/Body image’ debate..

Being a teenager, especially one who is addicted to all things that are glamorous and fashionable, I am definitely aware of things concerning society’s perception of beauty and the ‘ideal’ body for a woman. If I can be perfectly honest, yes it does effect me. I admit, when I’m watching ’Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ or flicking through the pages of ELLE, I do get conscious of my appearance and feel a little crap about myself, lol - but I am a 15 year old girl, this is totally normal. At the same time, I feel perfectly happy and secure with how I am. I know that was a total contradiction, but think about it; all the women we see in the media are millionaires, with a team of stylists, personal trainers and assistants around them 24/7, and as well as all of that, all the images we see are heavily enhanced, whether its trimming off a bit of fat or covering a few wrinkles and blemishes, if they weren’t looking good, then some isn’t right, Lol. Because I know all of this, I’ve learnt (well.. trying) to love all my imperfections, because at the end of the day, we’re all women and we all have a few things we dislike about ourselves.

I don’t agree with the whole ‘Size 0’ phenomena, and I don’t believe in starving/harming yourself for the sake of vanity. I believe that every size is beautiful, and the only problem there is, is embracing it.

I believe in being healthy; eating right, daily exercise and just overall self loving baby! Scarlett Johansson, Tara Lynn, Beyonce Knowles, Misha Barton, Kim K and Christina Hendricks - These ladies are my Curvespiration! (that was a very lame attempt at making a new word, LOL) All of these women are curvy, healthy and absolutely gorgeous!

I think blogging is the perfect way to express and share your own style and views, so as a blogger, I am going to make sure I include posts for all women, for all different sizes! I want to embrace curves and body diversity right here on my blog! So stay tuned ;)

What do you think about this ‘Thinspo’ craze ? Are you Pro-Anorexia ?
